MARK McWHERTER

Long time HOT BAND guitarist and vocalist Mark is one of the main lynchpins of the band. A consummate vocalist, rock solid rhythm and lead guitar player, Mark is the perfact foil for Dans outlandishness. Besides working with Dan, Mark has performed with MIKE SNIDER (Grand Ole' Opry) and many others. Mark has been involved with all of Dans' recordings and has still found time to create his own critically acclaimed release for Family Claw Records titled THE MILL.

TIM MAY

Tim is bar-none one of the finest musicians working in acoustic music today. A gifted performer on the guitar, mandolin, dobro, bluegrass banjo, mando-cello and mandola Tim has performed with such luminaries as Patti Loveless, Eddie Rabbit and is one of the founding members of Crucial Smith. Tim has performed with Dan on the GRAND OLE' OPRY and the KENTUCKY STATE SENATE. A fine luthier Tim also works in Fred Carpenters' Nashville VIOLIN SHOP. Take a look at his web site timmaymusic.net

BRIAN CHRISTIANSON

The newest member of THE HOT BAND Brian has been playing fiddle since age eight, and mandolin since age ten. In 1997, he was named Minnesota’s Top Country Instrumentalist and several times has been the Minnesota State Fiddle Champion. Since moving to Nashville five years ago, Brian’s playing has grown to include many styles including bluegrass, swing, and jazz. Beside working with the HOT BAND Brian is currently a luthier working at Fred Carpenters Nashville VIOLIN SHOP. Brian can also be found playing and recording with the celtic/ bluegrass group PLAIDGRASS, and is a featured fiddler on Tim May’s new solo CD. Brian has plans to record a solo CD this spring.

TODD COOK

Phenomenal bassist extraordinaire! It has been our privilege to have Todd with us for the last three years. He is rock solid with a wonderful musical sense (and sense of humor too). Besides performing with the HOT BAND Todd also works with Mike Snider on the Opry. Todd has also performed and recorded with Roland White, Jesse McRenolds, Jim Hurst and many others. Todd was nominated for a 2003 Grammy Award for his bass work on Roland Whites' recording Jelly On My Tofu.
